Frequently Asked Questions

All drop off and pick up times are approximate and for outside only.

If the castle is indoors, times may vary, but all last pick up times are at the discretion of the management

Q: How much does it cost to hire a bouncy castle?

A: Prices start from £60 for a children castle. All the prices are stated on the product page of each individual castle.

Q: How much notice do I need to give to book a castle?

A: It is always best to give as much notice as possible so you get the castle of your choice. Simply go to the product of your choice and use our online booking system to see if it is available on your day.

Q: Is it cheaper if we pick up the bouncy castle ourselves?

A: No. In fact, Cool Parties do not allow this. All of our drivers are trained as professional installers and are certified by Cool Parties to be the exclusive installer of our equipment.

Our insurance requires that our installers do an onsite inspection as well. Where the safety of your children is concerned, we do not take any chances.

Q: Do you charge for cancellation?

A: In most cases we do not charge for cancellation. However, you must give us notice the day before, so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else. If you cancel on the day (including when we turn up), you will still be liable to pay the full cost of the booking.

Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?

A: The dimensions of our castles are shown on each product page. You must also allow an additional 5ft at both the back and front of the castle and at least 2ft at either side.

Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?

A: We use a cart to wheel the castles into position. Therefore, there will need to be a standard size path to get the castle into your garden or venue. Please let us know if you have a lot of steps, or a tight entrance way, so that we can assess the access beforehand.

Q: How is the bouncy castle inflated?

A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building. We supply long extension cables and power breakers with all castles so you don't need a socket nearby.

Q: Can I deflate the bouncy castle?

A: If you need to deflate the castle, you can do so by unplugging the fan. It will slowly collapse, you must ensure that nobody is using the castle at the time.

Q: Does it need electricity? How much does it use?

A: Yes. We will bring a 50 foot extension cord with us, so you'll need an outlet near the set up area. The blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.18 of electricity per hour. Your blow dryer uses more than that! NOTE: All blowers and wiring are safety checked before delivery.

Q: What time do you deliver and pickup the bouncy castle?

A: Rental periods vary. The typical range of rental time is between 4-5hrs or all day (7-8hrs). You decide on the time you would like the bouncy castle set up by and we will have the equipment set up before that start time. It only takes approximateley 15mins for a childrens castle to be set up and ready to go.

If you have special requirements for an exact setup or pick up time, (for example, your event is in a location that you have rented for a specific amount of time), please let us know when booking.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: You can contact us on our mobile number Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm. But you can book online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Saturdays and Sundays are a little difficult as we are usually attending shows and events. However, if you need us, then please text or leave a message as our mobile is checked frequently.

Q: My party is tomorrow. Can I still get a rental?

A: Maybe! Give us a call and we will try to work it in.

Q: Can I keep the bouncy castle overnight?

A: Yes! We do overnights for adult units at an additional charge of £40. The bouncy castle must be set up in a back garden or area that is fenced and locked up. The fence must be at least 5ft tall.

Cool Parties reserves the right to deny any event of this service. Cool Parties also reserves the right to cancel the overnight portion of any event at any time if we have reason to believe that our property is at risk of injury or theft.

Q: What happens if it’s raining or if there is particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?

A: If the weather forecast is bad/raining on the day of your hire you can cancel without a cancellation charge. However, you must cancel on the day prior to your booking day, and before lunchtime.

This being said, we never cancel a booking because it is drizzly rain as we do not like to let the children down. The only reason we would cancel a booking is if the weather is too dangerous to use an inflatable. Health and safety is paramount to us at Cool Parties.

Note: All of our Castles come with shower covers and all our extension leads are fully showerproof.

Q: Can the bouncy castles go indoors?

A: Yes, the bouncy castles can go indoors. However, you must check the hight of the ceiling before booking to ensure the castle will fit - the ceiling must be higher than the hight of the castle booked (a surcharge applies). The heights of all our castles are on our website product pages

Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?

A: Our staff member will completely set up the castle and give you a demonstration on how to use it safely, upon delivery. They will then leave it in your control.

You will be asked to sign a disclaimer to say that we have instructed you on use, explained the maximum number of users, maximum user height etc and where safety instructions are located on the inflatable.

We will dismantle the bouncy castle upon collection.

Q: My garden slopes a bit - will that be OK?

A: Yes. A slight slope is not a problem. We will typically place the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope.

However, if the slope is more than a little, we may not be able to set up in that location. Your installer may request an alternate location so please have one in mind. The safety of the children is the most important consideration when selecting a setup area.

Q: Can you put a bouncy castle on my lawn?

A: Yes, we actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area.

Q: Will it cause any damage to my lawn?

A: No, for safety reasons we must hammer in 6 securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The castle will have a ground sheet placed underneath it, so the grass will not come to any harm and the holes will disappear after a few days.

Q: Can you put a bouncy castle on a concrete floor?

A: It depends. We cannot allow our inflatables to be put outside on concrete for safety reasons, unless you allow us to drill the floor and put bolts in to anchor the inflatable down securely.

If the inflatable is going inside on a hard floor please tell us this during booking so that we can arrange for sand bags to be in the vehicle when we deliver the castle. There may be an additional charge for this service.

Q: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?

A: Each castle has different limits, but generally speaking, between 5 and 12 children at one time. This does depends on the size of the children and the bouncy castle you have hired and the height of the users, please contact us for further information.

You will also be given instructions when the inflatable is delivered. Each inflatable states maximum number of users and maximum user height, along with other important and helpful information. Please note children's castles should never be used by heavier adults - the hirer is responsible for any damage.

Q: How long do I get the keep the bouncy castle?

A: We usually deliver the castles first thing in the morning and then collect them later on that day. If you want it for more than one day please mention this when you book, this will of course be reflected in the price.

Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?

A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe. Also you must ensure that the castle is not overloaded to make extra money. As the hirer you are liable for any damages.

Q: Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?

A: Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind. In addition, we review all safety rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.

Q: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?

A: We carry 5 million pounds worth of public liability cover. However, as per our (Terms & Conditions), we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care.

You are the sole person responsible for the castle and it's use, meaning that should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer.

Our Public Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.

Q: What are the appropriate ages for bouncing?

A: We have bouncy castle for all ages. We are insured for children, teenagers and adults, so anybody can join in the fun.
